The The ACCUMULATORS will fulfill your requirements for an auxiliary power source, shock dampener, system pressure compensator or other functional components for which the need of an accumulator is indicated. They are designed for 3000 psi maximum working pressure. Normal maintenance requires only the replacement of piston and end cap seals. The Hydro-pneumatic Accumulator -- its function and advantages:By introducing compressibility into a normally incompressible hydraulic system, the accumulator permits the storage of potential energy to do useful work. Hydraulic fluid being a liquid, has no power storage facility. Gasses, however, have a high degree of compressibility. By combining the two in controlled volumes within an enclosed vessel (accumulator) under controlled pressure, energy may be stored and utilized. Loading the accumulator is accomplished by pumping hydraulic fluid against one side of the piston until the nitrogen gas on the opposite side is compressed to the values required by the system. During the discharge cycle, the accumulator control valve is opened and an unfailing, dynamic work force is released in the form of kinetic energy. Features:
